Lawn soils generally do not contain all the necessary nutrients your lawn requires. Some nutrients build up and remain in the soil, other nutrients leach throug the soil and need to be regularly replenished, and some nutrients are simply not in a form available to the grass plant. Fertilizing your lawn simply consists of applying nutrients to your lawn in a form that your lawn is able to utilize and take up, similar to a daily multivitamin. Regularly providing your lawn with a boost of these necessary nutrients is the primary way to achieve and maintain a lush green lawn. Fertilizing essentially “feeds” your lawn.

At Xperience Lawn Care we apply premium fertilizers that contain specific ratios of essential nutrients based on what your lawn needs at different times throughout the growing season. For example, the nutrient Nitrogen greens up your lawn and pushes growth during the cooler spring and fall months. Potassium is beneficial leading into the hot summer months and helps your lawn weather drought and heat. While Phosphorus promotes strong, deep roots allowing the grass plant to reach water located deep in the soil and take up nutrients.

Fertilizer applications should be performed every 30-45 days throughout the growing season.
